Finance Officer / Bookkeeper

A requirement has become available for an experienced Finance Officer / Bookkeeper for a permanent position with the opportunity for an immediate start. This role is with an ASX listed mining company with a global presence. This role would suit someone who thrives in a busy,
fast-paced, close knit team environment whilst maintaining high levels of attention to detail and enthusiasm.
**Duties**:
- Management off all AP and AR functions
- Proccessing invoices against purchase orders
- End of month journals and financial reporting including reconcilations
- Bank reconciliations
- Proccessing reconciliations from overseas purchases and relevant invoices
- Month end USD to AUD re-valuation of month end balances
- Assisting CFO, FC and Auditor with half year and annual audit enquiries
- Completion of the quarterly Business Activity Summary
- Assisting in payroll, payroll tax, superannuation in MYOB and the relevant reconciliations
- Monitoring and providing data on FBT transactions
**Skills & Experience Required**:
- Australian Accounting Degree or relevant Australian work experience
- Experience using MYOB, Microsoft Office Suite
- Minimum 5 years experience in the financial accounting space
- Mnimum of 3 years in basic payroll functions
- High levels of accuracy & attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to work well autonomously and in a team environment
