Your role:
You’ll work as part of the team responsible for command and control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and electronic warfare protection in support of helicopter operations.
You play a key role in every facet of the mission including Mission Planning, uploading critical mission information direct to the aircraft, battle and safety tracking during flight and downloading sensors and mission data on completion of each mission.
Your Military duties include, but aren’t limited to:
- Preparing, configuring and operating Combat Radio Systems (CRS), Aviation Mission Systems (AMS), field power generators, cryptographic equipment
- Establishing and maintaining communications on radio systems, satellite communications, tactical data networks
- Establishing and maintaining local area networks and gateways
- Establishing and maintaining flight following procedures in support of aircraft operations and activating Search and Rescue (SAR) elements

Location:
Following your initial military training, you could be posted to one of the many Army bases and units across Australia. The majority of these positions are located in QLD, NSW and the NT.
Salary:
In the Army you'll get paid a good salary from day one regardless of your age, experience or qualifications. Upon commencing training, your starting salary will be approximately $56,385 per annum plus 16.4% superannuation and your pay will increase as you progress through training.
On completion of your initial military training and initial employment training, you could earn $83,610 per annum plus generous super.
Eligibility
- For this role, you must be at least 17 at the time of enlistment, an Australian Citizen, and have completed an Australian Year 10 education (or equivalent) with passes in English and Mathematics.
