National Service Manager – Equipment (Sign, Display & Digital)
Ball & Doggett, Australia’s largest distributor of printable materials, consumables, and equipment, is seeking a dynamic National Service Manager – Equipment (Sign, Display & Digital) to lead our service operations nationwide.
This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for setting the national service strategy, driving operational excellence, and ensuring outstanding service delivery for the equipment brands we represent across the Sign & Display market.
About the Role
As National Service Manager, you will:
- Develop and execute the national service strategy aligned with business goals.
- Lead and inspire service teams across multiple states, fostering a culture of high performance and customer focus.
- Oversee equipment installations, maintenance, and repairs, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality.
- Manage supplier relationships to secure competitive terms, innovation, and timely access to parts and technologies.
- Deliver financial performance, exceeding revenue and gross profit targets for service, parts, and software.
- Implement best-practice processes, training, and succession planning to strengthen service capability.
- Partner with sales, product managers, and suppliers to ensure seamless alignment between product and service strategies.
About You
We’re looking for a motivated leader who can bring vision, structure, and energy to our service operations. You will have:
- Proven leadership experience (5+ years) in a national or multi-site service management role.
- Strong knowledge of the print industry and wide format equipment (essential).
- A track record in building, motivating, and developing geographically dispersed service teams.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and delivering growth.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and supplier management skills.
- A customer-first mindset with the ability to solve complex problems and deliver results.
