About the Role
The Internal IT Manager will play a critical role in maintaining and improving the organisation's internal systems, networks and applications. You'll be the go‑to technical resource for internal stakeholders, ensuring staff can work effectively while upholding strong security and continuity practices.
This role is process‑focused rather than people‑management focused, making it ideal for someone who thrives on technical ownership, clear communication and delivering high‑quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure staff can work effectively, efficiently and securely
* Manage account administration and access control for all employees
* Oversee user onboarding and offboarding processes
* Maintain and support all internal networking, applications and systems
* Diagnose and resolve desktop, network and system faults
* Recommend, review and deliver internal infrastructure upgrades
* Manage business continuity and security processes
* Act as an escalation point for the support service team
* Collaborate with suppliers to enhance service delivery and value
Skills & Experience
Qualifications & Experience
* Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related field
* 5+ years' experience in internal IT support, ideally within private enterprise
Technical Expertise
* Strong Windows support and troubleshooting experience (Windows 7–10)
* Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (CCNA or equivalent preferred)
* Experience with MS Active Directory, Exchange and SQL
* Virtualisation experience: VMware (preferred), HyperV, AHV (preferred) or KVM
* Experience with ConnectWise Manage and ConnectWise Automate
* Exposure to Azure and cloud networking fundamentals (advantageous)
