**About the role**:
Joining the John Hunter Hospital Critical Care Social Work team you role will include covering the clinical areas of ED, ICU, Surgical, Trauma and same day procedure Surgical Wards.

Your day-to-day will include providing social work interventions to patients admitted to the JHH ICU and their families. It is based within the Intensive care unit with some coverage of the Paediatric Intensive Care unit if that Social Worker is unavailable.

**Where you will be working**:
The fixed working days are Monday to Wednesday, totalling 22 hours per week. You will work closely with the other Social Workers in the Critical care team as well as the ICU Multidisciplinary team including Organ donation team, other allied health professionals and may be asked to participate in education of ICU staff around social work interventions and communication with families.

You'll be well-supported in this role with mentoring from the CCT Team Leader, Service Manager, and experienced Level 3 and 4 Social Workers within the department. **Additional Information**:

- An eligibility list will be created for future temporary part time vacancies.
- To be eligible for employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or hold an appropriate visa that allows you to live and work in Australia. Employment of a temporary visa holder will only be offered in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa.
