Legal Assistant - Family Law (Full Time or Part Time)
We have an exciting opportunity for a legal assistant or paralegal to join our rapidly growing, specialist family law firm based in our Wollongong office. - Your familiarity with specific software. We will provide training on our practice management software if required.
The roles and responsibilities include:
- Answering telephones and being the first point of contact for new enquiries, greeting clients, administrative tasks and general office duties including maintaining a clean and organised office space
- Working closely with the Operations Manager to ensure an exceptional client experience
- Preparing and assisting with legal documents and correspondence
- Liaising with clients, lawyers and others in person, by telephone and email
- Case management including working closely with our Principal Solicitor
- Day to day file management, including management of opening and closing of files and organising and maintaining electronic files
- Email and diary management and scheduling of meetings, managing court appearances and deadlines for our legal team
- Preparing Briefs to Counsel
- Billing and accounts
- There is also the ability to be involved in other aspects of the business that suit your interests such as social media, marketing and business development activities
