Tippler's Tap is located at South Bank. Our kitchen works at a fast pace, and work schedules are flexible, including weekends.
We are looking for a mentally and physically strong, reliable apprentice who can handle the demands of a busy kitchen, and is serious about building a long-term career in the culinary industry.
Training provided.
As an apprentice cook, you will receive training in:
* Basic culinary skills and knife skills
* Knowledge of ingredients and menu preparation
* Safe and proper use of commercial kitchen equipment
* Kitchen procedures, hygiene, and sanitation standards
Main Duties - your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
* Assisting the chef with meal preparation and cooking
* Learning kitchen procedures and duties in food prep
* Working under the supervision of the chef
* Operating commercial equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, and stoves
* Serving food when required
* Cleaning duties including dishwashing, equipment cleaning, and sanitation
* Assisting in other areas of food preparation and storage
