Community Mental Health Clinician
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Community Mental Health Clinician to join our team. As a clinician, you will work closely with individuals who are navigating mental health challenges, providing expert assessment, therapy, and care coordination in their local community.
Your primary goal will be to support people in achieving their goals and improving their mental wellness. You will do this by conducting thorough assessments, developing personalized treatment plans, and collaborating with consumers, their families, and other stakeholders using a collaborative, strengths-based approach to care.

Key Responsibilities
* Providing recovery-focused clinical services, including assessment, care coordination, intervention, liaison, and review as part of a multidisciplinary team for individuals referred to the service with mental illness, distress, and/or risk issues.
* Conducting mental health assessments and providing evidence-based interventions for individuals experiencing mental illness.
* Collaborating with consumers, their families, and carers, and other stakeholders using a collaborative, strengths-based approach to care.
Selection Criteria
* Tertiary qualifications and current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Psychologist OR Tertiary qualifications for Social Worker, Counsellor, or Welfare Officer with eligibility for membership of relevant professional association.
* Demonstrated experience in contemporary clinical mental health practice.
* Understanding of the NSW Mental Health Act (2007) and principles of mental health rehabilitation and recovery.
Ideal Candidate Profile
* High-level communication skills and the ability to engage and collaborate with consumers, their families, and carers, and other stakeholders.
* Computer literacy and the ability to maintain a current unrestricted driver's license.
