Job Opportunity: Information Management Librarian
We are seeking a qualified professional to maintain and enhance digital research databases and other library collections.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain and enhance digital research databases and other library collections.
* Provide quality client services across the State.
* Support the strategic direction of the Parliamentary Library as a committed team member.
* Support the Director and Senior Librarians to provide client-focused information services.
* Assess, select, acquire, capture, manipulate and catalogue data to build and maintain digital databases.
* Gather and analyse library management statistics to inform and improve service delivery.
* Participate in continuing professional development to maintain relevant levels of knowledge and skills.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in collection management, both physical and electronic.
* Exceptional communication skills with demonstrated negotiation and client engagement skills.
* A proactive team player who can also work independently, committed to professional growth.
* Strong project management abilities, adept at problem-solving and working under pressure.
* An understanding or willingness to learn about the workings of Parliament and government.
