Enterprise Platforms Manager - Melbourne (Hybrid) Lead an Enterprise Systems Function | Microsoft Dynamics 365 | Business Central | Governance & Strategy I’m supporting an organisation that is investing heavily in uplifting its enterprise systems and digital capability. They’re now searching for an Enterprise Platforms Manager to lead their platforms function, shape governance and strategy, and ensure their core business systems are stable, secure, and continuously improving. This is a pivotal leadership role for someone who can combine platform governance, people leadership, vendor management, and strategic roadmap ownership. The Opportunity As the Enterprise Platforms Manager, you will: Define and influence the strategic direction and roadmap for enterprise platforms, ensuring alignment with broader technology and business goals. Oversee budgets, forecasting, and cost-efficient delivery of platform operations and enhancements. Ensure platforms meet security, compliance, and data privacy requirements. Establish and monitor KPIs around platform health, user satisfaction, and operational effectiveness. Lead stakeholder engagement, user adoption initiatives, and feedback loops to maximise platform value. Champion continuous improvement, researching emerging technologies and driving innovation across enterprise systems. Apply structured project management methodologies to deliver platform projects and major initiatives. Own and maintain comprehensive governance processes, change control, release management, documentation standards, and approval workflows. Manage vendor contracts, SLAs, performance, and escalations, ensuring high-quality solution delivery. Drive platform stability through lifecycle management, proactive maintenance, upgraded versions, and timely issue resolution. Lead, coach, and develop the Enterprise Platforms Team, focusing on capability uplift and career progression. Embed best-practice frameworks for requirements gathering, testing, documentation, and change management. Ensure system enhancements and projects tie closely to business process improvements and organisational priorities. Provide oversight of major technical decisions and ensure adherence to best-practice architecture principles. Communicate impacts of system changes and support organisational readiness activities. Conduct regular reporting on platform performance, risks, vendor activity, and backlog health. Contribute to broader IT initiatives and support cross-functional projects requiring enterprise platform expertise. What You’ll Bring Experience managing or owning enterprise applications in a complex environment, ideally within the Microsoft ecosystem. Strong understanding of: Dynamics 365 CRM / Sales Business Central Power Platform Proven experience in vendor management, including contract oversight, performance monitoring, and escalation management. Ability to design and operate mature governance frameworks (change control, release management, documentation standards). Experience leading technical and functional teams, particularly uplifting capability in business analysis, testing, support, and documentation. Strong analytical skills and the ability to critically assess technical solutions. Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders. Highly structured working style with attention to detail and strong documentation discipline. Understanding of platform configuration, integrations, permissions models, and data integrity principles. A drive for continuous improvement and a passion for delivering high-quality, stable system outcomes.
