You must combine strong commercial instincts, strategic leadership, and the ability to convert big opportunities into major contracts across mining, utilities, and industry. Candidate must have a clear track record of winning major contracts and driving rapid revenue growth. You must be able to build a high-performance team, scale a start‑up quickly, and convert large opportunities across mining, utilities and industry.
It would be highly advantageous if applicants had a basic understanding of electricity — enough to interpret and explain kilatts, kilowatt‑hours, and system performance — or, ideally, prior involvement in the energy‑storage sector.
Full technical documentation will support you, but familiarity with the industry is a strong plus.
Enerflow Vanadium Batteries Australia Pty Ltd, the exclusive Australian & New Zealand distributor for one of China's most advanced vanadium redox flow battery manufacturers, is seeking a dynamic, commercially‑driven Chief Executive Officer to lead its national expansion.
We have quickly built a strong relationship with the Enerflow board in China and are now discussing an expansion of our exclusive agency territory to include the Pacific Islands, Fiji, and potential joint‑venture entries into Indonesia and the Philippines. With Michael Johnson's decades of business experience and established networks in the Philippines—where more than 7,000 islands still rely heavily on diesel—Enerflow's vanadium flow technology is uniquely positioned to deliver a transformational clean‑energy solution.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Senior executive experience (GM / CEO / Head of Sales / Commercial Director). Strong track record in sales management, commercial strategy, or market development. Experience in renewable energy, batteries, power systems, or industrial technology beneficial but not essential.
Ability to build relationships with government, utilities, EPCs, and large corporate clients. Commercially astute, entrepreneurial, and confident working with a fast‑growing company.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative leadership style.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead national commercial strategy and growth of Enerflow's Australian operations.
* Build and manage the sales organisation, channel partners, and technical support relationships.
* Drive business development across utilities, mining, government, EPCs, and industrial customers.
* Oversee tender submissions, proposal development, and stakeholder engagement.
* Work closely with the board and international manufacturing partners.
* Establish strong governance, budgeting, reporting, and operational systems.
* Represent the company at industry events, government briefings, and with major clients.
Remuneration
Base Salary: $150,000+ (commensurate with experience and qualifications)
Profit Participation: 5% of net profit, reflecting the exceptional long‑term growth potential of Enerflow's Australian operations.
Additional incentives negotiable for exceptional candidates.
