Your Role:
Set in the picturesque seaside town of Forster, Kularoo Centre is a well-established and valuable part of the local community. Designed in a country homestead style, the well-loved centre provides 160 beds catering to all levels of care, including respite, Ageing in Place, dementia, and palliative care.
As the Care Team Manager at Kularoo Centre, you'll be the heart and soul of our clinical care setting. You will lead and inspire a dedicated team to deliver exceptional care to residents with complex needs. You will oversee clinical care, ensure compliance with best practices, and promote continuous improvement. Your role will also involve managing staffing resources, providing leadership support, and fostering a positive and safe work environment. By championing quality care and professional development, you will make a meaningful impact on the lives of residents and staff alike. About you:
To be considered for this wonderful opportunity, you will have:
• A Bachelor of Nursing and registration as a registered nurse with AHPRA.
• At least 3-5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably within Aged Care.
• An Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) qualification or a willingness to obtain one.
• Experience leading a team in a complex clinical care setting, preferably within Aged Care.
• Experience undertaking internal and external clinical care audits.
• An understanding and application of adult learning principles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with residents, families, and staff, and to provide clear and concise documentation.
• Knowledge of the Aged Care Accreditation Standards.
• The ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and ensure that all aspects of care and operations are running smoothly.
• Postgraduate qualifications in Management, Gerontology, Training and Assessment are highly desirable.
• A commitment to weekend shiftwork and oncall requirements.
