About the role
Axiom College is seeking an experienced Individual Support/Health Trainer to join our team in Hervey Bay, Queensland. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for delivering high-quality vocational training and supporting students in the individual support and health services sectors.
What you'll be doing
* Delivering engaging and interactive training sessions on individual support and health services subjects
* Providing one-on-one mentoring and support to students to help them develop the necessary skills and knowledge
* Assessing student work and providing constructive feedback to aid their development
* Maintaining detailed records of student progress and attendance
* Collaborating with the broader training team to continuously improve course content and delivery
* Staying up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure training remains relevant
What we're looking for
* Hold a TAE40122, TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or higher or the previous TAE40110 plus TAELLN411/TAELLN401A and TAEASS502 or TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B.
* Hold a minimum of Certificate III in Health Services and or Individual Support if you are not a RN or EN. Have demonstrable industry experience in the Health and or Individual Support Industry
* Have a minimum 5 year recent industry experience across the Health and Aged Care and Disability sectors
* Have demonstrated knowledge in the achievement of client learning outcomes and high-level client participation, retention and completion rates.
* Applicants must have the ability to complete a Police Check and hold a Working with Vulnerable People Check.
* Positive Notice Blue Card Working with Children Check is a pre-requisite to employment with Axiom College.
* A current driver's license and own transport is required
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for education
