About The Role
New service. New team. New approach. You’re invited to take a lead role in providing mental health and wellbeing support for children up to age 12 with mild to moderate emotional, behavioural, and mental health challenges, and their families. Located in Orange with satellite services in Bathurst, the service employs flexible and creative approaches within a multidisciplinary model, guided by a new model of care.
As an Aboriginal Senior Mental Health Clinician, you will use your clinical and cultural skills for assessments, case formulation, and delivering treatment programs, prioritising Aboriginal clients and their families. You will adopt a child-centred approach, extending your scope to families and carers, contributing to a holistic health service in the community.
You will provide guidance to the multidisciplinary team to ensure culturally responsive and safe practices, coordinate services within the Hub and with external providers, and contribute to shaping the future of this dynamic service. The position is funded until 30 June 2026, with potential extension.
