You will be responsible for end-to-end IT category performance and supplier performance management, including: IT Contingent Labour; Communication; Enterprise Software; Cloud & managed services; IT Hardware and Security. You will operate in accordance with corporate policies and processes, defined governance, regulations and delegations of authority.
This is a 6 month contract role and can be based in Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney. We offer a flexible, hybrid work environment that blends remote work with on-site presence as needed to meet project deliverables. Please note, this role will be engaged as a contractor, on assignment at the Lottery Corporation through Hudson Talent Solutions.
What you'll do
* Develop and execute sourcing strategies for IT hardware, software, and services.
* Lead supplier selection, negotiation, and contract execution to deliver cost savings and value.
* Manage vendor relationships and performance, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations.
* Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, Finance, and Legal to support business requirements and risk management.
* Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for innovation and cost optimization.
What you'll bring
* 5+ years relevant category management experience with at least the last 3 years focused on technology specific categories (e.g. IT Contingent Labour; Communication; Enterprise Software; Cloud & managed services; IT Hardware and Security)
* Strong category, sourcing, negotiation and supplier management skills
* Experience in developing, implementing and maintaining category strategies
* Strong understanding of supplier contracts, negotiating contracts and identifying and mitigating risks
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
