Lead Maintenance Technician Role
This is an ongoing position working in our afternoon shift.
The Key Responsibilities of the Lead Maintenance Technician:
* Provide maintenance and engineering solutions to improve plant and equipment reliability.
* Offer leadership and supervision for mechanical technicians, manage maintenance activities during facility shutdown periods.
* Ensure preventative, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities are performed safely and efficiently.
* Investigate process, plant, and equipment failures, determine the cause of failure, and develop permanent solutions.
* Provide technical advice in manufacturing facilities on-site.
* Develop close working relationships with personnel in operations, electrical & instrumentation, system owner group, planning & support group, and quality.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, electromechanical, or process engineering.
* Experience in a batch manufacturing environment, specifically in filling / packaging / palletising.
* At least 3-5 years of experience in a maintenance engineering position.
* Experience in a GMP environment would be an advantage but is not essential.
* Previous experience in a supervisory role overseeing contractors or trades.
* Knowledge of maintenance systems and familiarity with computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS).
