About The Role
We are currently looking for motivated and capable Clinical Emergency Services Officers to join the HSS team within Western Australia Iron Ore (WAIO).
Responsibilities
* Provide primary care to sick and injured personnel in a clinical environment and oversee day‐to‐day medical centre operations.
* Respond to mine site emergencies, including fire, rescue and medical incidents.
* Adhere to BHP clinical standards, accurately complete documentation and apply the correct clinical treatment pathway for best patient outcomes.
* Plan and deliver training sessions, knowledge sharing and scenario‐based activities for volunteer Emergency Response Team members and other staff.
* Commit to ongoing development of emergency management and clinical skills and qualifications to maintain competencies and Scope of Clinical Practice.
* Provide clinical education, training and assessment, Learning Management System compliance, administration efficiency and Clinical Governance requirements (audits, compliance checks, investigations).
* Mentor and support colleagues.
Location
Permanent and FTC positions across our mine sites in WAIO, working an 8:6 / 7:7 day and night shift roster, fly‐in fly‐out (FIFO) from Perth.
About You / Qualifications
* AHPRA registration (Paramedic or RN) – current with no conditions or restrictions that impact SOCP attainment and practice.
* Must meet the requirements to achieve and maintain approved SOCP at Paramedic or RN level within BHP WAIO operations.
* Certificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue, or Public Safety or equivalent / higher – required.
* HR class driver's license.
* Rescue experience in firefighting, on‐road ambulance, defence forces or other emergency services.
* Excellent communication skills and interaction experience with personnel, patients or customers.
