We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Head of Procurement to establish and lead a strategic, value-adding procurement function across the region.
This is a rare opportunity to shape procurement capability across multiple operating businesses in Australia and New Zealand and drive meaningful commercial impact.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the UK-based Group Procurement Director and the Regional Managing Director, you will be accountable for transforming procurement from a largely transactional function into a coordinated, commercially focused regional capability.
You will drive margin improvement, embed governance and supplier frameworks, mitigate supply and compliance risk, and own procurement's contribution to ESG and Modern Slavery reporting, while preserving the agility and speed to market that our businesses require.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement a regional procurement strategy aligned to Group growth objectives
* Lead supplier sourcing, negotiation and contracting to deliver cost optimisation and margin improvement
* Establish governance frameworks, approval thresholds and structured supplier stage-gates
* Manage supplier performance, risk and continuity across the region
* Oversee procurement's end-to-end accountability for ESG and Modern Slavery reporting
* Provide leadership and oversight to purchasing teams across multiple operating companies
* Influence and partner with senior stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Finance and Operations
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
You are a commercially driven procurement leader who thrives in complex, multi-business environments.
You will bring:
* Senior procurement leadership experience in a regional or matrix structure (manufacturing or product-based environment desirable)
* Strong commercial negotiation capability with a proven track record of delivering cost and margin outcomes
* Experience implementing procurement governance frameworks and policies
* Practical understanding of ESG, supplier risk management and Modern Slavery obligations
* The ability to influence senior leaders and drive change without relying on direct authority
* A pragmatic, solution-oriented and collaborative leadership style
Tertiary qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business or a related discipline are preferred. Professional accreditation (e.g. CIPS) is advantageous.
