Exciting opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Educator to join the Department of Health


The Team:

This position works as part of the boarder Nuraing and Midwifery Education Service for Hospitals South, with the partner portfolio of palliative care. As a teaching and learning organisation this role has a significant responsibility in partnering with service areas, education providers and professional bodies in education programs for nursing workforce.


The Role:

High level ability to analyse and evaluate nursing practice to inform education program development and outcomes

Demonstrated ability to design, implement and evaluate nursing focussed education programs using contemporary education and nursing practice knowledge and skills

Abilities to work and be responsive within a nursing and midwifery education framework that forms part of the overarching nursing and midwifery strategic priorities

Abilities to work closely with nurse managers, leaders and multidisciplinary teams

Details of appointment:

Permanent, part time, day worker position, working 40hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.


Salary:

$118,297 to $125,543 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

* Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

* Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

Holds, or is currently working towards, postgraduate qualifications in education and/or clinical teaching and learning

Holds, or is currently working towards, postgraduate qualifications around clinical/practice speciality as relevant to the position
