About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Nail Technician to join our team in Townsville. This is a full-time position offering stable, long-term employment for the right candidate.
The successful applicant will provide professional nail services in a luxury salon environment while maintaining high standards of hygiene, customer service, and technical excellence.
Responsibilities
The role includes, but is not limited to, the following duties:
* Consulting with clients to discuss nail care needs, preferences, lifestyle factors and desired outcomes
* Assessing nail and skin conditions of hands and feet and advising on appropriate treatments and aftercare
* Performing professional manicures and pedicures, including cuticle care, shaping, buffing and polishing
* Applying gel, acrylic, dipping powder and other artificial nail enhancements
* Designing and performing decorative nail art, including hand-painted designs, embellishments and specialty finishes
* Repairing damaged nails and safely removing artificial nail products
* Providing specialised hand and foot treatments, including exfoliation, paraffin treatments and massage
* Maintaining strict hygiene and infection control procedures, including sterilisation of tools and workstations
* Evaluating nail care products and treatment processes to ensure quality, safety and suitability
* Advising clients on nail health, maintenance routines and suitable retail nail care products
* Promoting and selling nail care and cosmetic products
* Managing bookings, scheduling appointments and maintaining accurate client records
* Monitoring stock levels and reporting replenishment requirements
* Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety regulations and salon policies
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
* Certificate III in Nail Technology plus at least 2 years of on-the-job training, OR
* Certificate IV or higher qualification with a minimum of 12 months' relevant experience
In addition, applicants should demonstrate:
* Proven experience as a Nail Technician
* Strong technical skills and attention to detail
* Professional presentation and reliability
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good communication and customer service skills
Employment Conditions & Work Eligibility
* Employment type: Full-time
* Work location: Townsville, Queensland.

Salary
* $70,000 – $80,000 plus superannuation, depending on skills and experience
