**Role responsibilities**:
- Supporting the strategic direction of Queensland Health and relevant individual strategic initiatives commensurate with current Queensland Health demand for services and end users' requirements.
- Develop, conduct and evaluate tenders, and negotiate contracts for provision of information and communication technology services (ICT contracts, systems and solutions) required by eHealth Queensland.
- Establish and maintain high level interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills appropriate to an environment of change and evolution.
- Ensure the maintenance of a detailed documentary record of procurement processes, decisions and contractual arrangements undertaken ensuring the audit trail is adequately maintained and documented for probity, accountability and audit purposes.
- Research and prepare submissions, reports, briefing materials and correspondence and provide expert analysis and advice to agency senior management and key stakeholders on matters relating to the procurement function.
- Contribute to a high level of professional practice in the agency by maintaining a high-level knowledge of contemporary procurement strategies, policies and practices and an awareness of government priorities and initiatives that have implications for the procurement function.
- Manage the services provided by external and internal service contractors and consultants against compliance with contract terms and conditions, contracted deliverables and service level agreements, including the planning and implementation of transitional arrangements for commencement and finalisation of contracts.
- Manage stakeholders regarding changes to business requirements, including negotiation, management and implementation of contract variations with the vendor, to ensure the contract continues to meet business requirements.
- Negotiate business requirements with management and other stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach to developing new contract arrangements.

- Confidently presents messages in a clear, concise and articulate manner by using highly developed written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to negotiate persuasively with stakeholders and advise clients and senior management on procurement planning, sourcing and contract management strategies. (NHS: Collaborative Working).
**Specific Working Conditions**:
- While not mandatory QGCPO Level 3 Advanced procurement or Level 4 Strategic Procurement or equivalent would be highly regarded.
