The Opportunity
We're looking for a Draftsperson to support the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and on‐brand design outcomes across our growing national network. Reporting to the Design Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the Design and Development team across new club builds, refurbishments, and layout improvements.
You'll assist with drafting, design documentation, and permit preparation, working closely with internal teams and external consultants. This is a hands‐on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast‐paced environment, enjoys collaborating across functions, and is passionate about delivering consistent and innovative design solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Design Support: Assist in developing design concepts and layouts aligned with brand standards, compliance requirements, and budget parameters.
* Documentation: Prepare and update drawing packages using Revit and related software for internal fit‐outs and construction works.
* Project Coordination: Support permit preparation, RFIs, tender documentation, and consultant coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
* Quality & Consistency: Maintain documentation standards and ensure consistency across all project deliverables.
* Design Innovation: Identify opportunities to enhance layouts, materials, equipment integration, and overall club functionality.
* Collaboration: Work closely with Project Management, Operations, Fitness & Product teams, and external consultants to maintain design intent.
* Communication: Provide timely updates to the Design Manager, highlighting progress, risks, and solutions.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Minimum 3+ years' experience in a Draftsperson or similar role.
* Experience delivering high-quality construction documentation, ideally within retail, gym, or multi‐site rollout environments.
* Proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
* Strong understanding of NCC/BCA and Australian Standards.
* Proven ability to produce tender‐ready drawing packages, schedules, and supporting documentation.
* Experience coordinating consultant documentation (structural, electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, fire).
* Strong attention to detail, organisation, and ability to manage revisions in a fast‐paced environment.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
* Bachelor's degree in architecture or interior design, Diploma in Drafting, or equivalent experience.
