Paediatric Emergency Medicine Career Medical Officer (CMO)
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced paediatric emergency medicine career medical officer to join our team at Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick.
The successful candidate will be appointed to work in the ambulatory, acute care and resuscitation areas of the Emergency Department, working with a team of paediatric trainees, emergency trainees, RMOs, experienced nursing, allied health and clerical staff.
The role provides an opportunity to provide assessment and management of children, as well as participate in teaching and departmental quality assurance. The position is for 20 hours per week and involves clinical duties.
Key Responsibilities
* Assess and manage children presenting to the Emergency Department
* Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care
* Participate in teaching and departmental quality assurance
* Develop and implement clinical procedures and protocols
Requirements
* MBBS or equivalent qualification
* Current registration with the Medical Board of Australia
* Minimum five years post-graduate experience in paediatrics or emergency medicine
* Demonstrated interest in Paediatric Emergency Medicine
* Completed Advanced Paediatric Life Support (APLS) within five years
