Nursing Manager, Community Nursing Services

Key clinical leadership position.

Mentor and support regionally based clinical and care teams. Help maximise clinical team utilisation.

Responsibilities
* Provide direction, support and guidance to Registered Nurses in the field, ensuring a person‐centred approach that recognises each client's unique preferences and clinical needs.
* Develop, implement and monitor consistent, best practice policies and procedures across all teams and locations in collaboration with the Education team.
* Embed quality care and clinical governance systems and processes, aligned to RSL LifeCare's clinical framework.
* Manage clinical governance systems to meet and maintain accreditation requirements.
* Work with Area Managers, Regional Manager and care teams to identify, mitigate and resolve actual or potential risks and ensure lessons learned are shared.
* Model a culture and approach where clients are the focal point in decision making and the design of care delivery models.
* Participate in and contribute to incident management and investigations as required.
* Participate in an on‐call roster for clinical escalation during evenings and weekends as required.
* Demonstrate leadership through effective interaction with nursing and care teams, including travel to sites within your designated region.
Qualifications and Experience
* Registration as a registered nurse with no current conditions placed upon registration.
* Minimum 5 years' postgraduate clinical experience within health care, aged care, community or other relevant environment.
* Motivation for and demonstrated track record in effectively coaching and leading clinical and care teams.
* Experience managing compliance with regulatory standards.
* Sound understanding of person‐centred approaches to clinical care and support.
* Compassion, empathy, and ability to build meaningful relationships across a broad range of stakeholders.
* Demonstrated ability to make good decisions that balance commercial outcomes with customer experience, applying consideration to mitigate risk.
* Roster management experience.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Demonstrated understanding of the regulatory environment in aged care.
* Right to work in Australia.
* First Aid and CPR certifications (or willingness to obtain).
* Open to fortnightly regional travel to Central Coast and Dubbo.
* Valid Police Check or a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check, or both, as required for the aged care sector. Clearances must be verified prior to commencing employment with RSL LifeCare.
