The Delivery Lead supports multidisciplinary teams to deliver digital products and services that meet user needs and align with Health Products Regulation Group (HPRG) transformation agenda. This critical role ensures successful delivery of digital initiatives across HPRG with a focus on agile delivery leadership, program management, cross-team coordination and continuous improvement. The Delivery Lead works closely with delivery managers, scrum masters and product leaders throughout the entire project management lifecycle whilst also liaising with senior executives on progress, risks and priorities. It also drives continuous improvement by facilitating retrospectives, reviews and quarterly planning, and develops guidance, standard operating procedures and templates to strengthen delivery practices. Additionally, this role contributes to governance papers and reporting and provides people leadership that builds capability and supports high performing teams.
The key duties of the position include:
* Demonstrates proactive leadership by planning and organising own work, keeping executives informed, and collaborating effectively across multiple multidisciplinary agile teams.
* Communicates with clarity and influence, engaging stakeholders and leadership with competing priorities and negotiating solutions that build alignment and commitment.
* Produces high‑quality written documentation—including governance papers, roadmaps, templates, user stories, and features—that supports decision‑making and delivery.
* Applies strong program and product management skills to anticipate issues, solve problems, and maintain momentum toward delivery outcomes.
* Approaches analysis and delivery with independence, creativity, and a strong sense of accountability.
* Balances strategic objectives with day‑to‑day delivery needs, managing workflows, meeting deadlines, and adapting quickly to shifting priorities.
* Demonstrates experience contributing to digital transformation through the delivery of technology and data‑driven solutions.
* Brings practical experience as a technical program manager, delivery manager or scrum master, with proficiency in tools such as Azure DevOps and Miro.
Eligibility
* To be eligible for employment with the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing, applicants must be an Australian citizen at the time an offer of employment is made.
* An applicant’s suitability for employment with Health will also be assessed through a variety of pre-employment check processes, such as:
o Satisfactory completion of a criminal history check, and where relevant, a Working with Children and Vulnerable People Check,
o Completion of a medical declaration and pre-employment medical (where required),
o Providing evidence of qualifications (where required), and
o Obtaining and maintaining a security clearance at the required level.
* For this role applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance or hold a current security clearance at an appropriate level.
