A family in Asquith is looking for a reliable and engaging afternoon nanny to support their two school-aged children during the after-school period. This role would suit someone who enjoys building genuine connections with older children and helping keep afternoons calm, organised and enjoyable.
Days & Hours
* Monday: 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm
* Tuesday: 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm
About the Role
The role involves picking up the youngest child from school, supporting after-school routines, and helping the children wind down before the parent returns home at 7pm. The older child travels home independently via public transport. Driving is preferred, however the role could also suit someone comfortable accompanying the youngest child on public transport.
Responsibilities
* School pick-up for the youngest child
* Supporting after-school routines (showering, school prep for the next day)
* Encouraging the children to tidy their rooms
* Spending relaxed time together (park visits, games, or limited screen time)
* Preparing dinner for the children (a bonus and paid at a higher rate if included)
* Light household help such as laundry (optional, not essential)
Requirements
* 3+ years experience caring for children as a nanny or a child care related role
* Current Working with Children's check
* Current First Aid
* Calm, confident and approachable manner
* Driver's licence preferred (own car unless using public transport)
* Cooking skills are a bonus
This is a straightforward, after-school focused role with clear expectations and a predictable routine. The family is looking for someone dependable who can support the children through the afternoon transition from school to home in a relaxed but structured way.
