Job Overview
The Senior AM Product Engineer plays a dual role encompassing both Design Engineering and Project Engineering. This position is responsible for product design, engineering development, and project management to support the development of new aftermarket products that meet customer and market requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Research vehicle equipment options to ensure new product development suits all versions of the target application.
* Conduct measurement and analysis of OEM and aftermarket competitor samples.
* Design aftermarket products to meet or exceed OEM specifications and customer requirements.
* Manage internal and external stakeholders through RFQ, design, and PPAP phases.
* Support prototype development, tooling trials, and PPAP build activities.
* Conduct fitment and ride testing of off-tool samples.
* Prepare Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), Bills of Materials (BOMs), and engineering drawings for new products and design modifications.
* Prepare engineering data for use in product catalogues.
* Provide engineering support to internal and external customers where additional technical information is required.
* Support production, quality control, and problem-solving activities.
* Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives.
* Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, and safety standards including ISO 9001, IATF16949, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001.

Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
* Strong mechanical engineering knowledge
* Proficiency in CAD software
* Strong skills in Microsoft Office
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Preferred
* Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience
* Understanding of aftermarket product development processes
* Strong negotiation and influencing skills
* Passion for the automotive industry
Additional Advantages
* Experience working with shock absorber products
* Experience using Siemens NX and Teamcenter CAD/PDM software
Additional Information
This role may require occasional travel within the Asia Pacific region (including Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand) to support vehicle measurement, product fitment checks, and evaluation activities.
