Clinical Midwifery Educator – Permanent Part‐Time role
About the Role
Calvary Riverina Hospital offers a comprehensive private maternity service that is continuously developing. This position is Monday to Friday and requires flexibility for varying work hours when supporting new graduate and student midwives.
Your main duties will include:
* Deliver high‐quality clinical education, coaching, and competency assessment to support safe, contemporary midwifery practice.
* Lead education and ongoing development for student midwives, new graduate midwives and the clinical midwifery team, tailored to a regional maternity service.
* Collaborate with midwifery and medical teams to strengthen capability, support quality improvement, and embed evidence‐based care.
* Provide hands‐on clinical support in the birthing, postnatal, and antenatal settings to enhance staff confidence and patient experience.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in Nursing and Midwifery.
* Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
* Relevant postgraduate qualifications in education highly desirable.
* Demonstrated ability to effectively teach and preceptor nursing staff.
* Minimum of 3 years' postgraduate clinical experience in nursing/midwifery.
* Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership qualities.
