About The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Senior Library Officer who enjoys engaging with a wide range of people in a supportive learning environment. You will be responsible for actively driving improvements to Latrobe City Libraries to enhance service delivery and benefit the community, and for providing a fun, inclusive, and constructive learning environment for visitors through the presentation of a number of programmes.
About You
For this position, we are seeking an individual with experience providing proactive customer service within a community library environment. You will work as a team in the day‐to‐day operations, planning and facilitation of programmes and events within Latrobe Library Services.
You will have
* Relevant TAFE Certificate, Degree or Diploma of Library / Information Services or equivalent qualification recognised by ALIA (Australian Library and Information Association), or currently be enrolled in or agree to undertake relevant certification.
* High level of knowledge in respect to processes, procedures, implementation and delivery of a diverse range of library services and programmes.
* Demonstrated experience in the development, delivery and support of quality Library programmes that support lifelong learning, literacy and social inclusion.
* Demonstrated commitment to working in a collaborative manner as part of a professional library team.
* Strong digital literacy skills, including the use of library management systems, online resources and databases.
* Ability to work positively within a dynamic team environment.
