Personal Care Assistant (PCA) | Croatian Ethno-Specific Facility

As an ethno-specific aged care home, we understand the importance of cultural familiarity and are seeking caring and dedicated Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to join our team.
About the Role
As a PCA, you will provide daily living assistance, personal care, and companionship to our residents.
Your role is about more than just care — it’s about building trusted relationships, promoting independence, and ensuring residents feel safe, respected, and at home.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting residents with personal care, hygiene, grooming, and mobility
- Supporting residents during mealtimes and daily routines
- Encouraging social engagement and cultural activities within the home
- Observing and reporting changes in residents’ health or wellbeing
- Collaborating with nurses, care staff, and families to deliver high-quality care
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation
What We’re Looking For
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent (essential)
- Previous experience in an aged care or health care setting (desirable)
- Warm, patient, and compassionate approach to care
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
- COVID-19 and flu vaccinations (as per government requirements)
- Ability to speak Croatian, or an understanding of Croatian culture and traditions.
This is not essential, but is highly valued in supporting meaningful connections with our residents and their families.
