Consultant Paediatrician – Job Summary
WACHS Goldfields is inviting applications for Consultant Paediatrician positions (Full Time, Part Time, Permanent, Fixed-Term, Sessional).
Salary is $412,161 to $523,436 p.a. (inclusive of base salary, 12% superannuation and allowances).
Locations : Kalgoorlie Health Campus and Esperance Hospital, Western Australia.
Closing Date : 4 : 00 PM.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality clinical care to paediatric and neonatal patients across the Goldfields region.
Work primarily at Kalgoorlie Health Campus while contributing to services at Esperance Hospital and supporting outreach to surrounding communities.
Collaborate closely with the Paediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist and other clinicians to lead delivery of patient-centred care.
Contribute to clinical governance, policy development, and service improvement initiatives.
Mentor and supervise registrars, residents and interns, fostering the next generation of paediatric specialists.
Participate in on-call duties, emergency and critical care, including neonatal medicine.
Qualifications
Registered Consultant Paediatrician in Australia with demonstrated expertise in acute and chronic paediatric conditions.
Strong interest in neonatal care and developmental paediatrics.
Leadership and mentoring experience, comfortable supervising junior doctors.
Ability to navigate high-pressure situations, embrace clinical innovation, and adapt to the challenges of rural practice.
