Position Overview
Australian Diversified Engineering (ADE) is seeking a skilled Product Support Technician to join our team based in Mackay Queensland. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting the installation, maintenance, and servicing of ADE's specialised engineering products used across the mining and heavy industries. Working closely with our engineering and customer support teams, you will ensure that our purpose-built solutions continue to deliver safety, reliability, and performance on site.
With your strong technical expertise, problem-solving ability and high communitive skills, you will provide hands-on support, diagnose and resolve product issues, and assist in delivering tailored solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to customers and field technicians regarding equipment performance, diagnostics, and product applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues via phone, email, and remote desktop tools, escalating complex problems as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of support cases, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the CRM or ticketing system.
- Collaborate with peers and other departments to identify product improvements and feedback.
- Provide on-site support for parts, including inventory management and usage analysis.
- Conduct regular audits of trucks and fleets to assess condition and identify upgrade opportunities.
- Look for the prospect to recommend ADE solutions through product and parts whilst engaging in technical support.
- Oversee and project manage truck commissioning's, ensuring seamless integration, operation and on time / budget performance.
- Support product launches, field trials, and change management initiatives by providing technical insight and follow-up support.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Mechanical, Manufacturing and Mining background or equivalent experience with an understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and control systems would be beneficial.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and control systems (hydraulic experience particularly valued in mining applications).
- Qualifications in Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology, Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology, Automotive Diesel Technology or equivalent trade qualification would be desirable.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in technical support, field service, or product-related role within the mining, heavy equipment or motor industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Proficiency with computer systems, CRM software, and remote diagnostic tools.
- Good problem solver with a high level of time management and priority setting characteristics to deliver impeccable customer service.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage priorities in a remote setting.
- Willingness to travel regularly to mine sites across Queensland and potentially interstate.
- Valid Australian driver's license (manual transmission preferred due to equipment nature).
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency with unrestricted work rights.
