Culinary Expert Wanted
We are seeking an accomplished Culinary Expert to join our team in a full-time capacity. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in preparing a diverse range of menu items, including seafood, poultry, red meats, vegetarian, and vegan dishes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare a variety of menu items with precision and attention to detail.
* Cook starters such as arancini, bruschetta, garlic bread, seared scallops, and baked brie.
* Grill premium meats to the requested doneness.
* Assemble and cook burgers and tacos.
* Cook pasta and risotto dishes like lamb ragù, Boscaiola, and pumpkin-spinach risotto.
* Create and plate desserts with proper garnishing.
* Prepare sauces and dressings.
* Maintain kitchen hygiene and comply with all food safety regulations.
* Manage mise en place, daily prep, and storage of ingredients and perishables.
* Support training and supervision of kitchen staff during peak service hours.
Requirements:
* Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or Diploma in Hospitality Management or equivalent qualification.
* Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen.
* Proven experience in menu planning and new dish development.
* Understanding of nutritional planning and preparation.
* Experience in operating grills and cooking techniques.
* Possession of strong communication and leadership skills.
