Lead Venue Operations Manager
We are seeking a confident hospitality professional to take the next step in their career with our growing Hotel Group. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Assistant Manager or Operations-focused Pub Manager seeking a full Venue Manager position. You will have the support of an Area Manager and a strong head office team.
We are a busy suburban pub located on the southern side of Newcastle, with a loyal local crowd. Our site includes a large bistro with family-friendly focus, TAB and Gaming, Sports bar with a strong local following, and a Drive-through bottleshop. We have big plans for the venue in 2026 and are looking for a manager who can lead the team through its next stage of growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Direct day-to-day operations across bar, bistro, gaming and bottleshop areas
* Manage and mentor a team of department managers and supervisors
* Drive sales performance, profitability and compliance
* Emphasize great service and a positive workplace culture
* Oversee rostering, training, and venue presentation
* Work closely with head office on marketing, events and community partnerships
Requirements
* Previous experience as a 2IC, Assistant Manager, or senior Duty Manager in a pub or large hospitality venue
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Understanding of financial performance and compliance requirements
* A people-first attitude - you lead from the front and support your team
* RSA, RCG, ARCG and TAB compliance certificates (required)
* A passion for hospitality and creating memorable experiences
