Key responsibilities for the Design Manager:Design management: Leading a multidisciplinary design team to deliver the high-quality technical project on time.Stakeholder management: Liaising with client, internal and external teams, and construction to ensure alignment and integration of design solutions.Cost management: Monitoring and controlling design expenditures using robust tracking systems to optimise budgets and prevent overruns.Design governance: Ensuring all deliverables meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards through effective QA processes.Technical oversight: Directing primary & secondary design, conducting design reviews, and collaborating with external consultants on electrical studies.What you'll bring:Proven experience as a Design Manager similar on major energy infrastructure projects (HV/EHV substations).
Primary design engineering experienceRelevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. Bachelor of Engineering)CPEng or working towards itMembership (or eligibility) with a relevant engineering body (e.g. Engineers Australia)Ready to explore more?
