We are looking for someone who has strong experience working in economic development of Indigenous groups. To be successful, you need to have the following skills and experience:
Essential:
4. A high level of cultural competency, including: Demonstrated understanding of the issues affecting Indigenous AustraliansDemonstrated high level ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Indigenous people, andDemonstrated high level capability and commitment to continue to develop cultural competency.
5. Analytical skills, with proven experience in process design
6. Personal drive and the ability to adapt to changing priorities to deliver outcomes under pressure and exercise sound judgement in strategically handling complex and sensitive work
7. A strong understanding of government processes, including Cabinet and legislation processes
8. Strong leadership, mentoring, coaching and performance management skills
9. Able to undertake regular travel between Adelaide and regional areas
10. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, including high level listening skills
11. Demonstrated ability to provide sound advice and prepare written reports and briefings
12. Ability to work in a fluid environment, remaining flexible, agile and adaptable supporting colleagues at short notice.
13. A valid Australian driver's license
Desirable:
14. Experience in economic development or program delivery.
Qualification:
15. Tertiary qualification in business, economic or legal studies or equivalent relevant experience.
