About the Role
Reporting to the Board, the CEO will:
* Lead and motivate a high-performing team to deliver exceptional value to members and stakeholders
* Oversee key initiatives across economic development, supply chain optimisation, advocacy, and regional growth
* Strengthen relationships with government, industry, and community to enhance opportunities for the region
* Drive best practice in governance, financial management, and organisational performance
This role suits a leader who brings strategic insight, genuine community engagement, and a balanced, approachable style.
About You
You are a confident and collaborative leader with a passion for regional development and strong experience in influencing stakeholders across diverse sectors. You thrive in dynamic environments and can bring people together to achieve meaningful outcomes.
You'll ideally bring:
* Qualifications or significant experience in economics, business, or a related field
* At least 3 years' experience in a senior leadership or management role
* Knowledge of the resource sector (i.e. Refineries/mining/large construction/engineering/manufacturing) and an awareness of emerging industries (ie. Renewable energy, and their supply chains)
* Strong communication and relationship-building capability
* Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams and organisational budgets
* A track record of delivering results through collaboration, innovation, and sound judgement
* The ability to inspire trust, guide strategy, and represent GEA with professionalism and authenticity
