Our client is a global industrial distribution company searching for their next Account Manager. With 33 locations throughout Australia and New Zealand, they specialise in a wide variety of industrial products from a variety of major brands whilst also being the national distributor of the SKF Bearing and Power Transmission product range.
The position reports directly to the Brooklyn Branch Manager and has a large, existing client base across several industries including industrial, food and beverage and manufacturing. A sales background in any of these industries would be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive Sales Generation: Maximize sales and profit opportunities by visiting existing and potential customers, surpassing territory GP$ and Sales budgets.
- Build Customer Rapport: Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and requirements while delivering exceptional service.
- Customer Focus: Maintain a suitable profile with customers through achieving agreed company call rates, targets, and plans, ensuring efficient face-to-face selling.
- Identify Opportunities: Conduct plant walk-throughs and site audits to identify potential sales opportunities, actively promoting our full range of products and services.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven Sales Success: Demonstrated ability to achieve company sales targets and develop value propositions within the customer base.
- Territory Management: Strong time management skills with the ability to plan and allocate time effectively across the customer base.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the bearing, power transmission, and/or industrial product industry highly desirable.
- Sales Experience: Direct B2B and B2C sales experience, showcasing your ability to build relationships and win new business.
- Relevant Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in a relevant field desirable, but not essential.
- Motivated and Ethical: Strong drive, work ethic, and adherence to professional conduct.
- Key Competencies: Results-driven, accountable, effective decision-maker, adept at managing work, and focused on service excellence.
