**THE OPPORTUNITY**:
We are seeking an experienced Tax Advisor will play a key role in supporting the accountability and accuracy of all tax advisory and tax compliance matters across the Group and playing a key role in mitigating tax risk, implementing best practice tax governance and ensuring Pilbara Minerals critical taxation processes are completed in accordance with all compliance requirements.

This is a permanent full-time position on a 5/2 roster based at the West Perth office.

Reporting to the Tax Manager, Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Assist in overseeing the Group's compliance with the internal Tax Governance and Control Framework.
- Support in providing timely tax advice to key stakeholders within the Group (income tax, transfer pricing, employment taxes and indirect taxes) to support day-to-day business operations and future growth.
- Identifying, researching and preparing tax analysis as required of the impact of new legislation upon the business operations of the Group.
- Preparation of income tax returns, indirect tax returns, employment tax returns and royalty returns including the monitoring and review of tax sensitive accounts to ensure accurate tax returns.
- Ongoing maintenance of the tax fixed asset register and tax funding/sharing agreements.
- Liaison with the Company's tax agents in Australia and the Australian Tax Office (ATO).
- General ledger maintenance and reconciliation, including the posting of tax journals.
- Preparation of information and responses to external auditors on tax-related matters, including providing contributions for the consolidated half-year and annual reports.
- Assist in raising tax awareness throughout the organisation and building key relationships.
- Identify and implement process improvements and value add opportunities within the Group.
- Ad-hoc query support, analysis and project work as required.

**ABOUT YOU**:

- 2-5+ years of post-qualification experience in tax with qualifications such as CA/CPA or Masters in Tax
- Solid tax accounting skills across multiple types of taxation including experience in calculations and reporting requirements regarding company tax, transfer pricing, fringe benefits tax, payroll tax, royalties and GST
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, with a proven ability to interact and engage with stakeholders across businesses
- Growth mindset with passion to learn and expand responsibilities based upon the business needs
- Excellent planning and organisation skills
- Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment
- Ability to analyse end-to-end processes and identify and implement improvements
- Highly proficient at MS Excel
- Self-driven approach and experience in taking the initiative and making decisions
- Strong interpersonal skills
