• $89,037 p.a. + super + locality allowance
• Fixed Term Full Time till March 2027 + Monthly RDO

As our Community Development Officer (Recovery and Resilience), you'll drive community-led recovery initiatives, build key partnerships, and support disaster preparedness across the Cassowary Coast. This highly visible, community-facing role requires strong local knowledge, the ability to build trusted relationships, and a genuine commitment to working directly with residents, community groups and stakeholders. You'll work closely with local communities to strengthen resilience, support long‐term recovery outcomes, and help ensure our region is prepared to respond to future challenges.

• Work directly with communities to support local recovery needs
• Build local capability and disaster preparedness
• Develop strong community and stakeholder partnerships
• Promote recovery awareness through face‐to‐face engagement
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of local communities, key stakeholders, service providers and community networks
• Be willing to work outside standard business hours when required to support community needs, recovery activities and emergency events
• Manage resources effectively within funding limits

The successful applicant will be required to undergo pre‐employment drug and alcohol screening to confirm fitness for the role.
