Role Description / Criteria
- have an understanding, commitment and support for the values and ethos of the Catholic school and the mission of the Catholic Church
- demonstrate a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children in accordance with Child Safe Standards
- foster and actively develop appropriate professional relationships with staff, parents and the wider parish community
- actively create a vibrant workplace in which all students are engaged, motivated and challenged to reach their potential, and are valued as individuals
- strategically implement student wellbeing strategies to foster positive relationships and enhance student/teacher connections
- evidence of proficiency in using data and "best practice" to inform daily teaching, and to differentiate learning to enable "All Children to Achieve Success"
- with a commitment to pursuing and maintaining professional knowledge, collaboratively plan and work in a team with flexibility, creativity, passion and enthusiasm
- have a sound knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum
- have a sound knowledge of various digital tools and apply digital technologies creatively
Special Requirements
- accredited to teach in a Catholic school or a willingness to achieve accreditation to teach Religion in a Catholic school;
- VIT registration
- be familiar with and comply with the school's Child-safe Policy and Code of Conduct, and any other policies or procedures relating to child safety
- capacity to understand and implement Duty of Care and Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
