About the role: Reporting to the Principal Program Manager, you’ll ensure strong financial governance and support the Aboriginal Outcomes Executive and Management team to deliver accurate, reliable outcomes. You will: Deliver day‑to‑day finance functions including accounting, reporting and budgeting for programs and projects, including R2H. Prepare and analyse complex financial reports and budgets, and support costing, financial audits and business case development. Improve policies, systems, controls and processes to ensure compliance with government, statutory and agency standards. Lead year‑end financial processes and brief stakeholders on project spending and funding use. Support business continuity and risk management by reviewing funding, expenditure and resourcing impacts. Provide financial advice to senior leaders and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This role is ideal for a finance professional who can work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and thrive in a dynamic, politically sensitive environment. About you: You are a strong finance professional with experience in government or public sector finance and a commitment to public service values. Essential: Tertiary qualifications in accounting, business or commerce, and/or relevant experience in financial/management accounting. Demonstrated experience in budgeting, financial reporting, project/program costing and financial controls. Strong skills in analysing complex financial data and producing clear, accurate reports. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including explaining complex information to senior and non‑finance stakeholders. Ability to work collaboratively across teams and build strong relationships.
