Cairns Show Wine Awards Stewards required in June 2026.
What’s involved:
* June 17–19: Judges from across Australia evaluate wines entered in our awards. Stewards help by transporting filled and empty glasses between the wine cellar and judges. This is a physically active role, and volunteers will be on their feet for several hours.
* We run shifts: 9 am–1 pm or 1 pm–5 pm each day, with the option to work a full day.
* June 20: During our public tasting (2 pm–6 pm), stewards assist in serving the public and managing wine flow from the cellar.
Training & Support:
* Don’t worry if you’re new - on June 16, we’ll give you a quick “101” training session so you know exactly what to do before the event starts. You won’t be thrown completely in the deep!
