I'm working with a client who is looking for a Commercial Manager to join their team in Brisbane. This is a senior role, reporting directly to the CEO, and will suit someone who enjoys a mix of strategy, client engagement, and hands-on business development.
You'll be responsible for securing new opportunities, managing existing relationships, and making sure the business continues to grow in the right direction. It's a role where you'll get to influence strategy at the top level, while still being close enough to the detail to make a real impact.
What you'll be doing:
* Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
* Identifying and securing new business opportunities.
* Leading the preparation of tenders, proposals, and business cases.
* Developing and implementing commercial and marketing strategies.
* Monitoring performance and market trends to keep the business competitive.
* Providing commercial insights and advice directly to leadership.
What we're looking for:
* A degree in Marketing, Business, or something similar.
* At least 5 years' experience in a commercial, business development, or sales role.
* Someone who communicates well (written and verbal) and builds trust easily.
* A quick thinker who adapts well when things change.
* Strong organisational skills and able to juggle competing priorities.
* Confident with Microsoft Office and business tools.
Bonus points if you have:
* Experience in aviation, transport, logistics, or resources (aviation training can be provided).
* Familiarity with tendering processes, contracts, or CRM systems.
