EAM Functional Consultant - SAP

About the role:
The EAM Functional Consultant provides senior functional leadership for SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and Plant Maintenance (PM). The role is responsible for leading solution design, driving functional delivery, guiding client stakeholders, and ensuring the solution aligns with business processes and SAP best practices.
Mandatory Requirements:
* Be an Australian citizen with an active NV1 AGSVA clearance. Active Baseline will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead end‑to‑end solution design and delivery for SAP S/4HANA EAM and PM
* Conduct requirement gathering, fit‑gap analysis, and business process mapping
* Provide expert functional configuration across EAM, PM, Maintenance Planning, Work Management, and integration with MM, IM, CO, PS, and FSM where applicable
* Lead workshops with business process owners and translate requirements into functional specifications
* Develop functional designs and guide technical teams on RICEFW requirements
* Support testing cycles including test script creation, execution support, and defect resolution
* Lead integration activities across SCM, Finance, Procurement, and Asset Accounting
* Drive cutover planning, deployment activities, and hypercare support
* Ensure adherence to SAP Activate methodology and project governance standards
* Mentor junior consultants and support capability uplift within the team
* Contribute to pre‑sales, solution proposals, and estimation activities when required
Required Skills and Experience
* Strong functional consulting experience in SAP PM/EAM, preferably in S/4HANA environments
* Hands‑on configuration expertise in PM including Notifications, Orders, Task Lists, Maintenance Plans, Work Clearance Management, and Maintenance Budgeting
* Solid understanding of EAM integration with MM, Procurement, Inventory, Controlling, and Project Systems
* Experience with Asset Management processes such as preventive maintenance, reliability, shutdowns and turnarounds, and mobile maintenance
* Ability to write and validate functional specifications for enhancements, integrations, and reports
* Strong workshop facilitation, documentation, and client‑engagement skills
* Experience in full lifecycle SAP implementations or major upgrade programs
* Ability to work autonomously and provide leadership across functional workstreams
* Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Desirable Skills
• Industry experience in Utilities, Oil and Gas, Mining, Defence, or Public Sector
• Knowledge of SAP Fiori Apps for EAM
• Experience with SAP FSM, AIN, or mobile asset management tools
• Understanding of master data governance for Asset Management
• Exposure to Agile or hybrid project delivery methodologies
