The Amazon Workplace Health & Safety Australia (AU WHS) focuses on providing tools, resources, and environments that support safe, efficient, and healthy behaviors, and encourages employees to proactively manage their health and wellbeing. As Program Manager for AU WHS, you will build and execute programs that create a safe workplace, cultivate a world‐class safety culture, and protect Amazon's growing workforce.

Your role involves deep diving into Operations processes, identifying risks through data and first‐hand experience, building and executing programs, and improving processes to eliminate risks. You will coordinate and lead large, strategic projects or programs across Amazon Business Units (BUs) and focus heavily on injury and accident prevention, as well as broader health, safety, and wellness improvements.

You will work cross‐functionally with Operations, Human Resources, WHS, Reliability, Engineering, Maintenance, Finance, and OpEx teams to deploy solutions at scale, possessing the technical savvy to gain credibility with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. The position reports to the Senior WHS Manager and is based in either the Melbourne or Sydney corporate office or field location.

The ideal candidate has an obsession for customers, a strong interest in building innovative solutions, proven analytical capabilities, and thrives in a fast‐paced environment with exceptional communication and project management skills. Sound judgment, compassion, and interpersonal skills are essential for collaborating across the company.

Key Job Responsibilities

* Develop, review, approve, coordinate, and lead large, strategic projects or programs within Amazon Business Units (BUs) and across geographies.
* Build relationships and partner across organizations to execute new initiatives and roadmaps each year.
* Work with stakeholders to align on project or program goals and resources.
* Coordinate a portfolio of programs or projects from inception to delivery, including global initiatives.
* Define and implement metrics to measure and communicate Australian program achievements.
* Compile, manage, and report on weekly project metrics and lead high‐profile meetings to align on project requirements.
* Communicate the overall program roadmap, provide periodic status updates to stakeholders, and present programs or projects to senior leadership regularly.
* Provide program decision support, insights, and recommendations through data gathering and analysis.

Basic Qualifications

* 5+ years of program or project management experience.
* Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
* Experience owning program strategy, end‐to‐end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
* Bachelor's degree.
* Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (pivot tables, charts, multiple‐criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.).
* 3+ years of workplace health & safety (WHS) related field experience.

Preferred Qualifications

* 2+ years of driving process improvements experience.
* Master's degree or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design, or related field.
