Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site opportunity for two PhD Students located in Townsville, QLD, Australia.
* Robotics and Mechatronic Systems
* Intelligent Control and AI-driven Algorithms
* Motion Simulation and Human-Centric Engineering Systems
* Embedded Systems and Experimental Validation
The roles involve developing and implementing advanced control strategies, designing and executing experiments, analysing complex data, and contributing to high-quality academic publications.
The PhD students will work closely with academic supervisors, participate in laboratory-based research activities, and present findings at conferences and in peer-reviewed journals.
Qualifications
* Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, Control Systems, or related fields
* Proficiency in research methodologies and analytical problem-solving
* Experience with programming (MATLAB, Python, C++, or similar)
* Familiarity with control systems, AI, embedded systems, or system modelling
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field and eligibility to enrol in a PhD program
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a research team
* Prior research experience or publications are advantageous
