* Socio-Cultural Awareness – Understanding of the socio-cultural, legal, and regulatory environment influencing sexual violence, child protection, and domestic violence.
* Professional Development – Willingness to commit to director professional education and engage in activities improving board performance.
* Not-for-Profit Experience – Background working in a not-for-profit community-based organization.
* Trauma-Informed Care – Experience working with clients experiencing or having experienced traumatic events.
* Diversity Training – Training or experience in working with diverse groups including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with disabilities, and culturally, linguistically, and religiously diverse communities.
* Intersectional Approach – Understanding of sexual assault through an intersectional lens considering gender and other inequalities/oppressions.
