BMA CQ Rescue is seeking an organised and enthusiastic Fundraising and Events Officer to join our team on a maternity leave contract and help deliver the campaigns, events and communications that keep our lifesaving service in the air.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role supporting the delivery of existing fundraising, marketing, events and community engagement activities. You'll play a key role in maintaining strong relationships with our supporters and ensuring consistent, professional communication with the community that funds this vital service.

About the role
The Fundraising and Events Officer supports the delivery of:
* Fundraising campaigns and appeals
* Community, corporate and supporter events
* Marketing and communications across social media, email and digital channels
* Donor and volunteer communications and engagement
* General administration and reporting related to fundraising and events
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
* Supporting the delivery of fundraising campaigns and appeals
* Maintaining and managing the donor database, ensuring data accuracy and useful reporting
* Assisting with donor communications and retention activities
* Supporting the planning and delivery of community, corporate and supporter events
* Coordinating event logistics including venues, suppliers, volunteers and promotion
* Supporting third-party fundraising events and community activities
* Creating and managing content for social media, email, website and promotional materials
* Managing social media channels and basic digital advertising
* Supporting volunteer communications and community programs
* Maintaining records and assisting with reporting, budget tracking, merchandise and general administration
About You
You'll be someone who is organised, proactive and comfortable juggling multiple tasks in a busy, purpose-driven environment. You'll likely have at least 2 years' experience in fundraising, events, marketing, communications or community engagement.
You'll also bring:

Qualifications
A qualification in Marketing, Communications, Events or a similar field is desirable but not essential.
Requirements
* Current Driver's Licence
* Ability to attend events outside normal business hours
* Ability to obtain a Working With Children Check
* Ability to obtain an Aviation ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card)
