At Armadillo Childcare, we're looking for a talented and caring Centre Cook to join our team and create nutritious, tasty meals that support the wellbeing and development of children in our care.
About The Role
As our Centre Cook, you'll plan and prepare healthy hot and cold meals and snacks each day for up to 75 children. You'll have the opportunity to be creative with your menus, while ensuring they meet dietary and allergy requirements. This is a key role in our team, and you'll be responsible for managing kitchen operations including stock ordering, food safety, and cleanliness.
What We're Looking For
* Experience in planning menus, budgeting, ordering stock, and managing kitchen supplies
* Strong knowledge of food safety standards and allergy-aware meal preparation
* Ability to work independently and maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment
* A team player with strong communication skills
* Availability for fixed shifts Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 2:00pm
Essential Qualifications And Checks
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or an ACECQA-approved Early Childhood qualification with cooking experience preferred
* Valid Working with Children Check / Blue Card / DCSI Clearance
* Current First Aid Certificate
* Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
